Abstract

634,244. Spray-producers; mounting nozzles. SPOONER, W. W. Sept. 6, 1947, No. 24603. [Class 69 (iii)] Nozzles for directing jets of fluid on to the surface of material 7 are mounted in pairs and are formed by slots 3 in the underside of ducts 2, the slots being provided with baffles 4 and 5. The pairs of nozzles thus formed are arranged so that the jets 6 issue at an angle to one another and are disposed symetrically on either side of exhaust passages 8 with the object of providing a high value of kinetic energy in the fluid jets.
