631,915. Electric hand-irons. HOOVER, Ltd. Sept. 3, 1947, No. 24322. Convention date, Sept. 7, 1946. [Class 39(iii) ] [Also in Group XXXVII] The control wheel 50 for the thermostat of an electric hand-iron is located in or on the handle support and operates, through gears 57, 58, an indicator dial 35 which is associated with the thermostat and has a diameter approximately equal to the width of the iron body. Temperature is adjusted by rotating wheel 50 or by manipulating dial 35 direct. The bases 30, 31 of handlesupporting legs 22, 23 partly embrace the periphery of the indicating dial which is spaced from a cooling fin 14 on the iron proper to permit air flow. Specification 631,054 is referred to.
