Abstract

Resorcinol mono-(b -aminoethyl) carbamate is prepared by treating resorcinol with phosgene to give polymeric resorcinol carbonate and then heating with excess ethylenediamine. Diethylaminomethyl resorcinol mono-acetate is prepared by reacting resorcinol mono-acetate with diethylamine and formaldehyde. 2 - Diethylaminomethyl resorcinol monobenzenesulphonate is prepared by reacting resorcinol mono-benzenesulphonate with diethylamine and formaldehyde.
