[Class 5(i)] [Also in Group,VI] A support for a vegetable grater, slicer, juice remover, peeler and corer comprises an upright 1, a lower clamp 3, oppositely extending brackets 2, 4, and an upper clamp 10. The bracket 4 supports a bearing 5 in alignment with a bearing 6 in the upright, and also a pivoted lever 8. Below the bracket 4 are a retaining lip 15 and supporting ledge 16. A fruit and vegetable grater consists of knives projecting from a disc on the end of a shaft mounted in the bearings 5, 6 and rotated by a handle. The material is fed from an open-ended box having a bracket fitted over the bevelled top 11 of the support 1 and clamped by a screw 12. A drum with outwardly-pressed grating teeth may be used instead of the knives. For bean-slicing a drum Fig. 8 with three pressed-out peripheral knives may replace the grater. The bean-guide is a bracket secured to the part 11 and having an arcuate member 53 with a feed-slot 55; the displaced metal may form an archedguide 56. Chips may be cut by using blades transverse to the blades 51. For juice removing, the extracting member is mounted on a shaft passing through the bearings 5, 6 and projecting beyond the bearing 5. It consists of a helical wire in conoidal form. The juice falls into a dish supported by the parts 15, 16. For peeling and coring apples, a shaft passing through bearings 5, 6 is provided with a handle 71, a detachable fork 72 and a thread 70 consisting of a helical wire which may be engaged by the lever 8 when the shaft and wire are turned for advancing the fork 72. Supported upon the stem 22 Fig. 1 is a frame 74 having a cutter 77, normally in line with the axis of the shaft 70 but deflectable outwardly against the spring 23 when an apple is being peeled. At the same time a blade on a corer on the end member 26 makes a helical cut through the apple and pushes the core through an opening 84. As the fork 72 reaches its most advanced position the handle portion 88 pushes the lever 8 away from the shaft 70 and allows it to be withdrawn.
