Abstract

[Class 48] A globular metal net float a is approximately circular in plan and has a vertical profile of the form shown in Fig. 2, and has means c approximately at mid-length of the underside for attachment of a net. The cross-section on the line 3-3 is shown in Fig. 3. The float may be made of castaluminium halves welded together or may be formed of sheet steel pressings which may be heat-treated and tempered. A vertical tail fin d may be provided.
