[Class 20(iii)] The elastic or wire ring secured to the edge of the hood fabric to form a beaded boundary thereof described in the parent Specification, is replaced, by the present invention, by a metal ring, and the grooves provided in the rubber jointing ring for the edges of the fabric and of the glass or like pane are displaced laterally with regard to one another. In the form shown, the hood fabric 15 is folded over and adhesively secured to one limb of an angle section metal ring 17. This fabric-covered limb is pressed into the outer groove 14 of a rubber ring 11 so that the other limb 1 of the angle engages the outer periphery of the rubber ring. A translucent pane 13 of glass or the like is entered into the inner groove 12, which is disposed laterally with respect to groove 14. A decorative metal ring 22 may be secured to ring 11 in the manner shown.
