[Class 87 (ii)] A die for moulding from pulp sheet-like articles formed with a number of relatively high and deep projections and depressions, such as packings for choice fruits, comprises a die body 20 slit at 26 to allow for drainage and provided with depressions 25, a foraminous facing sheet 31 shaped to cover the die body closely, and a number of hollow foraminous projections 37 separate from but mounted on the facing sheet 31 in between the depressions 25. This construction avoids deep drawing, with consequent danger of fracture, that would be required to form the projections 37 and depressions in the sheet 31 from a single continuous sheet. The projections 37 are supported by correspondingly shaped elements 38 grooved at 39 for drainage and having spigots 40 to engage recesses 35 in the die body. Projecting edges 37a on the projections 37 are bent under the edges of the elements 38 and the assemblies clamped to the die body 20 by bolts 36. In a modification the spigots are formed on the die body and the sockets in the elements 38. A foraminous backing sheet 32 more rigid but coarser in texture than the sheet 31 may be interposed between the latter and the die body 20.
