[Class 131] In a mechanically operated dry shaver one or more electric lamps 2 are arranged in a longitudinally extending hood 3 provided centrally on one of the flat faces of the casing 1 of the shaver and having a window 7. The lamps may be supplied directly from the mains or battery or through a resistance or transformer and may be of the screw-in, tubular or gas-discharge type. Part of the hood may be of transparent plastic material.
