Abstract

624,654. Saddle bars. FROST & CO., Ltd., H., and HULSE, C. W. Dec. 22, 1946, No. 37639. [Class 62] A safety saddle bar comprises a body part built up from a back plate 1, inter mediate plate 2, anc front plate 3, each having open - endec slots 6 which arc coincident. A thumb bit 16 is pivoted be tween plates 1 and 3 and its tail 19 is held in either open or closed position by a spring 18. The slot in plate 2 is slightly broader than those in the other plates so that the edges of the latter can be turned inwards. The plates are secured together by copper fusing, brazing or welding.
