[Class 44] [Also in Group XXXVI] Fastener elements e.g. of aluminium which are to be coloured by an electrolytic process are formed with at least one small contact projection 5 in addition to the locking projection 3 which is intended to localise contact between neighbouring elements when arranged in a stack. The contact projections may be pointed or rounded, and may be on either side or both sides of the element. A pair of projections may be arranged in front of the locking projection or three projections may be provided, as shown, two of which 5a are formed on the'legs 2.
