Abstract
A dielectric composition comprises a mixture of two or more of the titanates of barium, strontium and lead, the molecular proportion of titania in the mixture being not more than 50 per cent, and preferably between 35 and 40 per cent. A slight excess, up to 10 per cent of baria and/or strontia may be included in order to avoid the presence of free titania. To prevent cracking a small amount of a borate, borosilicate, or boron titanate may be added. The different titanates are prepared separately, and are powdered, mixed together with water, moulded, and refined to form a unitary ceramic body.
