Abstract

617,608. Printing machines. HARRISSEYBOLD CO. Dec. 27, 1945, No. 34935. Convention date, Sept. 4, 1941. Drawings to Specification. [Class 100(ii)] The present Specification describes a machine which is substantially identical with that described in Specification 606,285 which is based on the same U.S.A. Specification. The claims in the present Specification are different and are directed mainly to a sheet transfer cylinder for printing &c. machines having a plurality of sheet gripper units, each comprising a plurality of grippers spaced lengthwise of the unit, said mechanism comprising a rotating member, means for presenting said gripper units to and removing them from said rotating member in succession, and means for accurately registering each of said gripper units with said member during a portion of a revolution thereof, said registering means including means engaging each of said units at a plurality of points along its length, including at least one point between the endmost grippers. Specifications 527,280, 604,232 and 604,264 are referred to.
