Abstract

616,400. Saw frames. HARKNESS, D. Sept. 4, 1946, No. 26521. [Class 61 (ii)] A hack-saw frame is made from one piece of metal rod forming a back 1 and looped handle 2. The ends of the frame 3, 4 are slotted at 3<SP>1</SP>, 41 to receive a hack-saw blade, these ends being bent so that the blade is at an angle to the plane of the frame varying from 10 to 90 degrees. In a modification, the ends of the frame are slotted in the plane of the frame and additional pieces are brazed on having the slots angularly disposed to the plane of the frame.
