Abstract

615,369. Ships' hatches. MACGREGOR, J. Aug. 1, 1946, No. 22955. [Class 113 (i)] A hatch cover is formed of units hinged together in pairs, these pairs being independently moved to the hatch end and up-ended together. One member of a pair such as 2B is first hinged on top of its related component 2A, and the pair are then jointly moved on rollers 23 to the hatch end and then up-ended till stop pins 17 engage recesses in a storage rack. Sections are held together by hooks 36.
