Abstract

614,802. Vehicle &c., lamps. MILLER, M. July 31, 1946, No. 22764. [Class 75 (iv)] A vehicle or other lamp comprises an annular glass holder 1 hinged upon the front of the lamp body (not shown) by one or more hinge knuckles 4, pinned to one or more knuckles on the lamp body, and formed on one edge of a plate 6 which seats upon the internal peripheral surface of the holder 1 and which is retained in position by a mechanical engagement therewith. The plate 6 engages in channels formed around and internally of the front and rear edges of the holder 1, and has on its rear edge an extension 5, formed with the knuckle 4, and projections 7 engaging the rear channel. To prevent movement of the plate 6 relatively to the holder 1, the extension 5 is located within a shallow depression in the wall of the rear channel.
