[Class 75(iii)] An electric gas lighter comprises a hollow insulating handle A fitted with an apertured cap N and containing a solenoid coil F surrounding a tube G, in which a plunger H is pressed by a spring J into contact with a switch blade K. When the blade K is pushed by a button M into contact with a terminal block E the electric circuit is broken and made repeatedly between the blade and plunger and the sparks produced ignite the gas passing through the apertures O.
