Abstract
606,912. Rose plates. BACKHOUSE, H. T. Dec. 18; 1945, No. 34314. [Class 52(i)] A rose plate for a doorlatch or other knob has a tubular shank for insertion in a hole in the door and one or more blades or pins thereon, initially capable of entering the hole, which can be moved by means operable from the front of the plate so as to engage the material of the door to secure the plate thereto. As shown in Fig. 6 the blades 23 may be pivoted to the shank 21 and automatically projected by rotating the shank or they may be secured to rotatable shafts housed in the thickness of the shank wall. Alternatively the blades or pins can be radially displaceable by means of a tool inserted into the shank. Specifica- 496,776, [Group XXV], and U.S.A.
