606,709. Sound film apparatus. ETABLISSEMENTS HEURTIER & CIE. Feb. 25, 1946, No. 5867. Convention date, April 28, 1945. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 25, 1946.] [Class 40 (ii)] A sound-reproducing device for sound-films comprises a rotating drum in two parts 6, 14 separated by a space 17 over which the film A is wound, a photo-electric cell 16 mounted on a support 8 carried by an arm 9 which passes through the space 17 and is secured to the casing 1, and means for indicating and accurately adjusting the position of the exciter lamp 19 in the direction of the width of the film. The exciter lamp 19 is carried on an arm 18, Fig. 4, which is movable parallel to the axis of the drum by means of a screw 24, Fig. 5. An extension 21 of the arm 18 carries a casing 32 containing a prism 35 which reflects an outline of a pointer 33, produced by a lamp 43 mounted on the support 8, the screw 24 being adjusted until the pointer 33 appears in the centre of the sound-track as illustrated in Fig. 4.
