Abstract

605,271. Supply systems 'for consumption apparatus; condenser arrangements. BACK, F. G. Aug. 22, 1945, No. 21481. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 1, 1947.] [Class 38 (iv)] A lighting device 10, Fig. 1, having a vapourizable filament 14, is connected in shunt with a condenser 17 across a D.C. supply and momentary illumination is obtained by the discharge of the condenser upon closure of switch 22. A protective resistance 26 is included between the condenser and one side of the D.C. supply, which latter may be derived from an A.C. source and full wave rectifier 25. In order to prolong the period of the discharge impulse a reactor, transformer or resistance may be included in the discharge circuit.
