[Class 126] [Also in Group XXXVII] Movement of a pivoted electric-fire guard 6 in either direction causes an arm 9 to be raised by a V-ramp 16, so that the detent 15 releases a switch arm 12 to de-energise the heating element. The switch may be spring or gravity operated, or alternatively may be positively operated by displacement of the guard. A shield normally forming part of the reflector may be moved to cover the element when the switch is operated.
