Abstract

An alloy for centrifugally casting the conductors and endrings of the squirrel cage rotor of an induction motor comprises copper (91-99 per cent) tin (0.25 to 8 per cent) and 0.15 per cent phosphorus. The alloy is made by pouring molten copper onto measured pellets of tin and phosphorus.
