[Class 40 (v)] For segregating the carrier component from a signal-modulated carrier wave, the wave is passed through a gate clipper for limitation between predetermined limits, the output being used to control a multivibrator producing a rectangular wave, which is fed to a circuit tuned to the frequency of the unmodulated carrier. A further tuned circuit and gate clipper may precede that already referred to. The original wave may be pulse modulated and the derived wave, preferably after frequency division, used in a pulse demodulating circuit.
