599,223. Recording-apparatus. LANDIS & GYR SOC. ANON. Sept. 25, 1945, No. 24835. Convention date, Sept. 26, 1944. Addition to 589,823. [Class 106 (iv)] A recording strip as described in the parent Specification, which has a width appropriate to the apparatus in .which it is to be used and which may be prolonged beyond the normal recording field to allow for fixing to a roller, is provided with a diagonal mark 6 beginning from one edge of the recording field 6a and ending within the minimum width of such strips and extending back parallel to the side edge 6b. When viewed through an inspection window the diagonal mark gives a warning of the time the strip has to run and the straight line indicates when this warning has passed and the end is imminent.
