[Class 28 (ii)] In a slicing-machine of the type having a rotatable knife and a reciprocable table for supporting the comestible to be sliced, the table is secured to a slide 20 having limited reciprocable movement with respect to a supporting slide 11 which in turn has limited reciprocable movement with respect to the base 12 of the machine. This arrangement facilitates the use of bases of the same size in the production of both double- and single-slide machines.
