Abstract

Aluminium base alloys, particularly suitable for the manufacture of electrolytically treated reflectors, contains 0.05-2.5 per cent of magnesium and 0.005-0.5 per cent of beryllium, the remainder being aluminium of at least 99.9 or 99.99 per cent purity. Preferred ranges of magnesium and beryllium are 0.05-1.0 per cent and 0.01-0.02 per cent respectively. Specification 469,361, [Group XXXVI], U.S.A. Specifications 1,534,318, 2,108,603, 2,153,060 and French Specification 832,821 are referred to.
