An oil and fat free anti-sunburn medium contains at least one oil-soluble and at the most only slightly water-soluble substance absorbing light rays of short wave lengths, e.g., methyl salicylate or diphenyl, and acetone or a mixture of acetone and ethanol with or without the addition of water.
