Abstract

The reflection coating of a glass mirror is protected by two coatings of paint, the inner one consisting of a finely divided pigment suspended in a liquid and the outer coating including a finely divided metal suspended in a liquid. The inner coating may be a mixture of three parts by volume of grey paint to one part by volume of thinners, while the outer coating may be a mixture of four parts by volume of aluminium paint to one part by volume of said grey paint. Each coating may be applied by spraying, the inner coating being dried before the outer coating is applied thereon.
