590,667. Pencils. LOCKSON SERVICES, Ltd., and ADAMSON, G. H. Dec. 27, 1944. No. 25892. [Class 146 (iii)] In a propelling pencil, the lead 20 is carried by a sleeve 14 which is held frictionally in the body 10 by spring lugs projecting from the sleeve, the sleeve being threaded to receive a lead actuating screw 21 bearing directly against the end of the lead and having a square head 23 engaging a square section bore in the body 10. A cavity 11b is provided in the body for the reception of spare leads. U.S.A. Specifications 1,913,662 and 1,946,085 are referred to.
