[Class 140] [Also in Group XIV] A laminated thermoplastic synthetic resin material incorporates one or more layers of fabric of an ornamental character, the resin being transparent or translucent so that the fabric can be seen. The resin is preferably an acrylic resin ferably introduced while the resin is in a fluid such as methyl methacrylate. The fabric is prestate. Parts of articles of furniture, suitcases &c. are cut from the sheets and moulded under heat and pressure and secured by an adhesive having an affinity for the synthetic resin. Exposed edges may be sealed to protect the fabric.
