Abstract

588,532. Electric fires. BARRIE, D. G. E. Feb. 27, 1945, No.4869. [Class 39. (iii)] A firebar for an electric fire comprises a rectangular backing 4 of refractory material carrying on one surface a heating element, the backing having at each end separate and adjustably attached edge portions 3 in which are notches 7 for securing the firebar to a carrying framework. The parts 3 have screws 6 passing through rearwardly extending flanges 5 on the backing 4, nuts 10 and 11 enabling the position of the parts 3 to be adjusted axially.
