Abstract

588,072. Couplings. GREEN, A. S., ASTLEY, T., and BIRCHENOUGH, R. Jan. 29, 1945, No. 2209. Addition to 566,279. [Class 38 (i)] In the continuity coupling of the parent Specification, the metal braid A extends along the outer surface of the sleeve B, its ends being embedded in the sleeve and turned inwards to contact the pipe surfaces C. The coupling is secured to the pipes by metal clips, Fig. 3 (not shown). In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the inner central surface of the sleeve is not recessed. Earth connections are made to the braid.
