Abstract

584,925. Linear - dimension gauges. WARREN,L. C. J., and SELF-CHANGING GEAR CO., Ltd. March 24, 1944, No..5494. [Class 106 (ii)] Three micrometers or measuring rods 1, 2, 3, Fig. 1, are each fixed respectively to one of three independently-rotatable rings 4, 5, 6. The rings may be looked together by a nut and bolt. In a modification, Figs. 6, 7, the rings 23, 22, 24 are slotted around the major part of their peripheries, small webs 23a, 22a, 24a being left in which the micrometers 25b, 25a, 25c are fixed. The rings are retained by cover rings 20,'21 and may be locked together by a screw 27. In a further modification, the micrometers are replaced by rods slidable in the rings and. provided with vernier graduations.
