Abstract

584,797. Electromagnets. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and TREVASKIS, H. W. April 4, 1944, No. 6226. [Class 35] A core member is held by transverse springs in such manner that it can be rotated to adjust a plunger screwed thereto, but prevented from rotating, the springs having projecting ends engaging the casing. In the form shown, the plunger 2 having a peg 3 engaged in a keyway 4 in the fixed magnetic member 18, is screwed into the core member 1 which has a recess 5 at the top accommodating springs 6 with their radially outer ends secured to core 1 and their inner ends having extension 9 received in one of the recesses formed in the top of sleeve 10.
