Abstract

582,790. Shelving. FISHER & LUDLOW, Ltd., and MORRIS, S. July 22, 1944, No. 14054. [Class 52 (i)] A shelf 11 is supported adjacent its corners by pivoted tumbler catches 14 the projecting noses 20 of which normally engage notches 25 in the shelf supports and are automatically disengaged on lifting the shelf, the catches being housed in box-like compartments the side walls of which carry the catch pivot 18 while the bottom supports the heavier end 23 of the catch. In the case of a metal shelf the compartment is formed by the edge flanges 12, 13 and a depending bracket 15.
