Abstract

Gums are cleaned and separated by flotation in liquids of different densities between 1.48 and 1.51. The liquids may be a mixture of carbon tetrachloride and trichlorethylene, tetrachlorethylene or tetrachlorethane. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states also that the invention may also be applied to resins, and that the liquid may be a mixture of carbon tetrachloride and benzene. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
