Abstract
580,786. Work benches. FREEBREY, E. J. W., and PINCHIN, H. E. July 25,1944, No. 14177. [Class 61 (ii)] A shoe repairing bench comprises a metal framework 1 in the open top 5 of which is fixed a metal bin 10 adapted to be covered in with a metal grid 19 enabling dust &c. produced during working to collect in the bin from which it may be removed by a detachable door 12, a metal column extending from the floor level through the bin and grid for supporting the last. The grid 19 is attached by welding to a rectangular framework 20 of round iron bars and is held in position on supporting bars 18 which are welded on the inner surface of the sides of the bin 10 by means of latches 16 pivoted to the framework top 5 and adapted to project through slots 17 in the sides of the bin.
