Abstract

An adhesive comprises (1) butadiene styrene synthetic rubber, (2) a mineral oil, rosin oil or a non-drying fatty oil, (3) rosin, and (4) an anti-oxidant. Optional additional ingredients are carbon black, a fungicide, and a dyestuff which retards deterioration of the adhesive by light. Specified non-drying fatty oils are spindle oil and rape oil, and a specified antioxidant is hydroquinone. For application, the adhesive is mixed with a solvent such as petroleum spirit. Specification 405,263, [Group III], is referred to.
