Abstract

572,175. Cycle stands. DOMINY, R. A. Sept. 10, 1943, No. 14876. [Class 136 (i)] A cycle stand comprises a number of concrete &c. blocks constructed in two sizes, one being higher than the other, each with a wheelholding depression in its inclined upper surface, the sides of the blocks being vertical to enable the blocks to be laid close together to provide alternate high and low positions for the insertion of the front wheels, so that the handlebars of adjacent cycles overlap. The short blocks A and tall blocks B have sloping tops C each with a wheel-holding depression D, and two tall blocks are placed together with the inclined upper faces sloping in opposite directions, and alternate with two short blocks similarly arranged to form a row upon which cycles can be parked from either side.
