[Class 64 (iii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] An ice-guard or protective filter for the air intake systems of aircraft is formed of parallel wires or rods 2 made fast to flat strips 1 at right angles to them, e.g., by welding ; the strips may be notched to receive the wires, etc. The parts are surrounded by a flat or curved frame in the lower front part of which holes 5 may be formed.
