Abstract
An electric insulating composition to be applied to surfaces as a paste and consisting of starch, china clay or the like and water, is rendered less hygroscopic by the addition of phenol aldehyde type resin. According to an example, to a composition consisting of 26 parts of starch, 80 parts of china clay and 410 parts of water, is added 2-8 per cent of an emulsion of 67 parts of an oleaginous synthetic resin in 33 parts of alcohol and water.
