Abstract

569,648. Hydraulic accumulators. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Nov. 29, 1943, No. 19934. Convention date, Dec. 28, 1942. [Class 69 (ii)] In a bladder type of hydraulic accumulator, a thickened portion 27, which is reinforced, e.g. by a spring 26, is provided to ensure a large radius of bend when the bladder collapses and thereby to prevent cracking. The portion 27 further ensures that the disc member 30 is properly centred over the air inlet 42. The lower portion 22 of the bladder may be thinner than the upper part and tapered towards the portion carrying the discs 28, 30. Specifications 560,643 and 565,962 are referred to.
