Abstract

569,281. Wireless apparatus. JACKSON, D., and PYE, Ltd. Nov. 11, 1943, No. 18733. [Class 40 (v)] In a screening arrangement employing screening cans held in position on a chassis, a screening can is of tunnel or arch form, the sides of which are adapted to engage with clip members on the chassis by means of interlocking elements, and the chassis carries screening plates between which the can is placed and which are adapted to close the open ends of the can. Fig. 2 shows a series of screening cans 1 of tunnel section with stiffening flanges and formed with pairs of depressions 2 for locking engagement with corresponding projections 7 on flanges 6 at the edges of the chassis 5. The edges of the cans are formed with grooves 8 for guiding the can into locking position where it is firmly held in good electrical connection with the chassis. Between adjacent cans and at the ends of a line of cans are transverse screens 9 which complete the screening enclosures. The intermediate screens 9 may be arranged to span apertures 12 for valve holders so as to screen the input terminals from the output terminals. Specification 523,440 is referred to.
