Abstract

566,818. Cold frames. TARRAN, R. G. May 17, 1943, No. 7820. [Class 20 (i)] A cold frame is formed of pre-cast concrete or reinforced-concrete slabs 1, 2, 9, 10 having notches spaced inwardly from the ends, whereby the slabs may interengage to form a readily detachable, self-locking rectangular frame. The sides 1, 2 are tapered and the ends 9, 10 have central bosses 13, 14 which serve to position frame lights 15 of wood or pre-cast concrete, the frame lights having an upstanding flange on three sides to hold the glass panels.
