564,367. Sifting apparatus. ROSS, W. March 9, 1943, No. 3812. [Class 117] Screening devices of the kind comprising two rollers 1, 2, Fig. 1, such as described in Specification 376,273, across which the material to be screened moves in a direction transverse to the axes of the rollers, are provided with scraper devices 9, 9*, Fig. 4, which function to remove sticky material from the leading roller 1, and are adjustably mounted by a threaded spindle 11 and fixed plate 12. When the roller 1 has circumferential grooves 7, the scraper is in the form of a comb, and preferably two or more combs are arranged at successively diminishing radial distances from the roller surface.
