Abstract

564,341. Reflectors. QUEENSBURY ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and FOSTER, H. C. June 30, 1943, No. 10599. [Class 97 (i)] The joint between a refracting element 1 and a reflector 4 is sealed by a waterproof and adhesive band 5, and a cover cap (not shown) is fitted over the reflector to embrace the band. The element 1 may have a rim 2, and the cap may have a flange shaped to engage the part 5a of the band and to enclose the whole of the rim 2. The band may be a rubber-coated, normally tacky tape, &c., and any excess of it may be trimmed off either as a final operation, or simultaneously with the fitting of the cap.
