Abstract

Detoxicant substances, which decrease the harmful effects of drugs, are prepared by admixture of substances of each of the three groups comprising respectively (a) cysteine, cystine, methionine and their soluble salts; (b) uronic acids and their soluble salts; (c) glycine and glutamine and their soluble salts; (d) choline. Additional substances may be added from the groups comprising ascorbic acid and its soluble salts; nicotinic acid and pyrazine carboxylic acids. A typical composition consists of cystine or cysteine, glucuronic acid, glycine, choline and ascorbic acid. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, choline is an optional instead of an essential ingredient of the preparation.
