562,221. Board games. LOWY, F., and UNICORN PRODUCTS, Ltd. Feb. S, 1943, Neo. 2083. [Class 132 (ii)] In a game apparatus of the type consisting of a board, dice, dice shaker and counters, the board being divided into areas 2 having distinguishing markings, for example serial numbers, some of the areas have emanating therefrom at least two markings one or more signifying advance in the game and the other, or others, signifying falling back in the game, means which set the player a 'task being provided for deciding either the advance or the falling back of the player. The Figure shows a portion of a board for playing Snakes and Ladders. In accordance with the invention the square designated 19 has emanating therefrom both a ladder 3 signifying advance and a snake 4 signifying falling back. The means for deciding the advance or falling back may consist of a set of questions and answers. The game of Ludo may be similarly adapted, the indications for advance or falling back consisting of arrows extending in forward and rearward directions from a particular area. Instead of arrows representations of plants or animals may be used.
