Abstract
Insecticidal compositions consist of an aqueous emulsion or a dust comprising a pinacol having at least one phenyl substituent on each of its hydroxyl bearing carbon atoms, or a pinacolone corresponding thereto or a mixture of pinacol and pinacolone. Dusts are suitable made with clay as diluent, magnesium carbonate may also be used. Wetting and sticking agents may be added, e.g. dodecyl dimethyl benzylammonium chloride. Other insecticides and fungicides may be used in conjunction, e.g. rotenone &c., nicotine, thiocyanates, oils, copper compounds.
