Abstract

560,231. Advertising models. WARDLE, E., JONES, H., and TODD, C. I. ( trading as WARDLE & CO., E.), and CLARE, F. M. Sept. 11, 1942, No. 12872. [Class 3 (ii)] [Also in Group XV] A miniature representation of an animal comprises a main piece a of flat cardboard shaped to represent the major part of the animal and having a slit a<1>, a further flat piece a<2> of cardboard provided with a slit adapted to co-operate with the slit in the main piece so that the second piece may be interfitted with the first to extend outwardly therefrom to produce a threedimensional shape, and at 'least one further flat piece a<4>, shaped to represent a further part of the animal, provided with a slit to co-operate with a further slit in the first or second pieces so as to lie at right angles thereto. The irivention is applied to an elephant in Fig. 1. In Figs. 9-11, pieces band b<5> are interfitted and two pieces b<6>, b<9> are interlocked and engage in the slot b<7> to raise the shell part of the tortoise depicted. The pieces may be cut-outs in sheet form.
