Abstract

558,235. Controllers. IGRANIC ELECTRIC CO.. Ltd. July 31, 1942, No. 10751. Convention date, Aug. 9, 1941. [Class 38 (iii)] An inertia detent 13 allows a controller to be moved slowly from one side, through an "off" position to the other side, but arrests it at the " off position if it is moved quickly. A cam projection 9 on the controller spindle 1 engages face 11 or 12 of the detent as the spindle is moved towards "off", thereby rocking the detent against a spring 16 and forcing a projection 14 into a notch 10 so as to arrest the spindle in its "off" position until the spring has time to retract the projection 14.
